Personal Tributes

Cecille Villacorta is extremely grateful to her loving, brilliant, and courageously resolute husband, who is also retired; for the inspiring guidance of Rev. Monsignor Douglas J. Mathers, who is Vice-Chancellor of the Archdiocese of New York and Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Chuch (he is her Spiritual Director); Rev. George Rutler of The Church of Our Saviour, for his abundant concern, and profound e-mails that Cecille subscribes to, as they keep her calm (It is a way to cope with market volatility!); Rev. Alfredo Balinong of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, for his unfailing wisdom, humor, and dearest friendship; the beloved memory of Sister Eileen (Sisters of Charity), for her strength, selfless dedication, and true charity to everyone whose lives she touched. To the memory of Dr. Larry S. Goldblatt, who truly made a difference with his erudite prescience, cheerful wisdom, and who was a consistent source of strength for Cecille and her husband; her former co-workers and managers at Cartier and Bergdorf Goodman for their continued friendship and unwavering support during a difficult and challenging time, and last but certainly not least, to three extraordinary persons who shall remain anonymous, for their indefatigable belief in Cecille and unflinching support as she boldly faced her personal trials. One of them told her:

“There are only two formulas in life: Addition and multiplication!”
